Hi Monika
I guess the book you are refering to is The complete reference. I don't think that book would get you good marks in SCJP. I would suggest that you come to the SCJP forum often. If possible try to get Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates study guide.

javagreenhorn,
I used Kathy and Bates's book, it is really good.
I'd suggest that you go through the test objectives first and read up some basic documentation on the topics. You can also try some the tutorials like Marcus Green's or Dan' test prep materials.
btw, your name doesn't seem to confirm to the java ranch policy. I'm sure you will be prompted to change it by the moderators. You'd be better off looking at the naming policy on Java Ranch.
HTH.

Try JCertify - Version 7 was recently released. Now intergrated with
Beanshell - it has integrated context sensitive explanations / content from
Professor Richard Baldwin, Roedy Green, Bruce Eckel, and Marcus Green.
