Hello,
Unfortunately, I couldn't pass on SCJP 1.2... Okay, I'm new to Java (come from C) and I only study for a couple of days... Got 52% :-(. But next time I'll get it!
I tried SCJP 1.2 because I had a voucher that I bought in 2002 and as I want to take the test again, I'm considering the 1.4 exam.
So my question is: Which are the differences between 1.2 and 1.4, specially for the exam? Is the 1.4 exam much harder than 1.2?
Thank you all!!!
William

Hi William!
The difference between the 1.4 and the 1.2 Exam is that in the latest exam you have a new topic called Assertions.
AWT and IO objectives have been removed from the new exam. And there will be a wide coverage of threads and garbage collection and also more on Util classes.
The objectives are stated in the Sun web site.
To get to those objectives click here1.4 exam objectives
About the exam,it is supposed to be a little harder. But where there is a will there is a way.So good luck on your path to certification.
