Hi,
I have been working in Java since a few years now, and thought a certification would look good on my resume and hence get me a better job. I have checked on the website and came to know now that there is Sun Certification 1.4 in addition to the regular 1.2. Can you tell me which to opt for and how about the cost is it the same.I am unable to decide which will be more useful. If I have to take 1.4 should i again buy a new book for studying, as I already bought JCP by Simon Roberts and .... a year back. And finally let me know which is tougher.
Thanks,
Kirti

Go for the 1.4. It covers a smaller range of topics and is the more recent exam.

U should definitely opt 4, SCJP1.4, coz it's the latest........if u r 1.2.....anywayz u need a upgrade exam.
as far as "Simon roberts" book is concerned.do #1 to #8 chaps. the UI part(i.e awt) is ommited frm 1.4 soin a way it's easier........assertions n collections r in detail..........look 4 the exat course on sun.ed.com
