Respected Friends,
I am preparing for SCJP 1.4 exam , can anyone please answer the following questions:

1)Please suggest some good books for SCJP 1.4 exam, currently I am only using the book of Khalid Mughal.
2) The topic of Garbage collection is not explained in detail in the Khalid's book also the questions are very limited please suggest some link or book in which I can find more questions on Garbage Collection.
3) Mostly the mock exams which I found were based on SCJP 1.2 also including IO,AWT and event handling questions while the SCJP 1.4 dont include IO,AWT and event handling questions ,please suggest some web site where I can find SCJP 1.4 mock exams which are really good and can be useful for me.
4) Any more suggestions for getting high score in SCJP 1.4 exam would be welcomed.
Waiting for your precious replies so please reply soon.

Mr. Taqi,

Sun Certified Programmer & Developer For Java 2, Exam 310-035 by Kathy Sierra & Bert Bates is a really good book which explains the Exam Objectives in great detail.
Along with that you might also wanna practice topic wise exercises atDan's site .

-Cheers.

I think Khalid Mughal is a pretty good book. Infact it covers more than what's needed for the exam. If u can understand what's written in it u'll be in very good shape for the exam.

If u do want to go for another book then as Satya said go for K&B

Hi !

As Raza says "SCJP 1.4 dont include IO,AWT and event " ,Is it so as i have seen a lot of questions related to this in several mock exams.

Also the link includes IO
