Hi,

I am thinking of buying Dan's book and was wondering if all the material in the book is also available online. Also is the book also helpful if I am planning on using it for the Java 2 1.4 exam ?

thanks,
Arun

Arun,

Thank you for considering my book.

The book contains a lot of material that is not available on-line. The chapters are organized like the exam set called study guide 1 on my web site. In the book, the chapters begin with an introduction to the material covered by the exams in that chapter. That introductory material is not available on-line. Also, the book contains appendices that are not available on-line.

The questions on the exams contained in the book are not new, but the questions in the book specify how many answer options must be selected. The questions on the web site don't provide that information. A second difference is that the exams contained in the book are formatted to save paper. If you are like most people, you probably prefer to work through my exams off-line using printed copies of the pages. If so, then you can save a lot of paper, printer cartridges and time if you buy the book.

Thank you again!

My book is now available here at Amazon.com. You can also buy it from BookSurge at the link provided in my signature.
