Hi, I just passed the 1.4 exam two days ago with 81%. I think it is not that hard if u are prepared. What I meant is that by reading a conventional
Java text book is not enough unless you pay attendion to every small detail. I suggest read a certificate-oriented book and do some practice exams. You will be surprise how similiar are they.
Here are something that appear in the exam
1. Can Interface and classes define in one single file
2. Is there an order imposed in a LiskedHashSet
3. How you instantiate a non-static inner class
4. Can a class be private
5. Something about array initialization
Sometimes being a programmer may not normally notice the specific details of the syntax... but my suggestion is to buy the voucher and give it ago. It wasn't that hard. Good luck
