to call the default constructor u don't need to use super keyword in the constructor of a subclass

I still think of the default constructor as any no-arg constructor. Apparently many java programmers do too.

In my mind a default is what is used when a programmer does not provide something. If he chooses to provide the same thing as "the default" it doesn't make it the default.
