hi all,
i am currently working in j2ee.please let me know is it worth to take up scjp exam?
will it be any useful for me in terms of career growth as i am already working in java

Yes absolutely!!!

SCJP is the starting point for any further certifications.

SCJP -> SCWCD -> SCBCD -> SCEA

SCJP -> SCJD

Look into www.java.com for more information.

SCJP by itself is useless, however inorder to be able to take other certificatiosn SCJP is needed. Unlike MS certifications SCJP is more of an indepth certification that tests mostly the basics, and less on the breadth. So you need other certifications to support your qualifications.

SCJP is not required for SCEA (Enterprise Architect).
