I want to do a certification in java , but i don't know which certification will be the best, i know SCJP is the base certification for other sun certifications. actually i am not sure about the scope in java ,i just don't want to feel guilty after doing this certification, because many people are saying that java's scope has decreased alot and now its time for .NET . Are there any jobs in field of java remaining for inexperienced people like me. Please answer my query.

This question is more about market trends than about certificaiton. Who are these "many people" and on what do they base their knowledge. How about doing what I just did and do a search at some web sites with adverts for IT jobs. I just searched on Java and then searched on .NET. Java seemed to return well over twice the nummber of adverts. That was based on only one web site but it is evidence rather than opinion. By the way, if you do decide to take the Java certificaiton you have come to the right place. Read the Frequently Asked Questions page and read the forum and you will get better advice than any amount of money can buy.
Can't .... do .... plaid .... So I did this tiny ad instead:
