I have read K&B twice and Khalid's once, Dan Chisolms exams and Marcus's 1.4 exams?

Cancel your appointment and reschedule for the 1.5 exam. It's available and it's backward compatible with 1.4 certifation. You won't have anybody saying "I'm sorry but we want 1.4 certification and you only have 5.0". You might get this: "5.0 certification is available, why in the world didn't you take that?"

Hi Rick, thanks for your advice, but i am taking the 1.4 because it is the most popular at this point, and i only took it to get to know Java a little better. I am planning to take the 1.6 Mustang exam when it comes out next year.

For obvious reasons I'm partial to "Complete Java 2 Certification".

Taking the JDK1.5 exam will require a substantial amount of extra study and I will eat my hat (on live web cam) if you ever get a problem with the version of the exam you have taken when applying for a job. Go for the 1.4 exam right now unless you are prepared to do a significant amount of additional studyying.
