Dear All,

I have summarised my preparation tool kit for SCJP 5.0 from various post at javaranch. Please have a look tell me is these books is sufficient for SCJP 5.0 or not.

Please provide suggestions.

1. Programmer's Guide to Java� Certification,
A: A Comprehensive Primer, 2nd Edition

2. SCJP Sun Certified Programmer for Java 5 Study

Let me introduced my background so that u can help me better, I am having experence in linux admin(1.5yrs) and moving to java. No prior exp. of programming. But good in linux admin.

Book 1 and both mocks are for jdk1.4 certification. Book 2 and 3 are for jdk 5 exam, but not available yet.

I believe Dans book is aimed at the 1.4 exam and the link to my material is also that for the 1.4 exam. However you can see 60 finely crafted guest questions aimed at the 1.5 objectives at

Those questions are a taster to pursuade people to pay the $US15 subscription to the full database, but they should make a fine stand alone study aid anyway.
