I to all, i'd like to know if the difficulty level of Whizlabs Exam Simulator is comparable to the real exam (SCJP 1.4), or if is harder then the real exam.
Thnx in advance.

hi there

all people say that whizlab is much tougher than the real exam

but it does help you to be confident while appearing for the real exam
its lets you experiment with different test taking techniques before you get comfortable to appear for the real exam

dont feel bad if u get low scores in whizlabs test (ideally you should get 40-50%). The real exam test you on none oteher than exam objectives

hope that hels

Hi Luigi

I found the Whizlabs questions harder than the exam itself (though I found the exam harder than Marcus Green's examulator questions). I scored 60% on average on the Whizlabs (passed 4 exams and failed 2), and managed to clear the SCJP 5.0 with 75%. Even if you fail the 6 Whilzabs exams, I reckon that if you go through the answers and study them you should be able to pass the real exam confortably.

Regards,
Alex

I used the whizlabs exams and failed all but the last exam averaging 50%. I achieved 69% on the real SCJP 5.0 exam.

I had been given notice on the termination of my contract at work and as such booked in the soonest exam possible. Due to that I was using the whizlabs as a short cut to learning what i still needed to know on 5.0 (I had allready been studying for cert but wasn't very close to ready).

I found that while whizlabs were harder than the real exam and taught me many concepts because of this, it's content didn't quite match that of the real exam. For example API contents was always my worst in whizlabs and Threads my best. However in the real exam API contents was secend best at 80% and Threads was worst at 50%. This is because the content was a bit different.

Overall I would recommend them, but try to keep up other study to complement them.
