hi there,
i m very confused redarding scjp 5.0....
as it includes some extra topics in comparison to 1.4
i didn't find any book that can help me out on topics like
Applets, i/o , generics.....
if anybody has any idea about a good book then plz tell me
i m planning for this exam by the end of this month....
I requested those who have recently cleared the exam to
give some idea of questions and their experiences...

Applets isn't a topic of any SCJP I think

I/O is only 1.2 (I think in 5.0 appears too)

Generics tutorial has in java.boot.by and at Sun's Website has a tutorial of generics, read't

its better to go for 1.4 exam

the kathay sieraa book 1.5 exam is still not out in the market

so better go for 1.4

The book "Sun Certified Programmer for Java 5" by Kathy Sierra & Bert Bates is pretty much available in the market.

I bought one from the book store[Barnes&Noble)
