in my application, thru an applet-java class,i am using appletcontext.showDocument and thorwing a jsp page.but i am not able to get the session value which is initiated from very first jsp before the applet.
can anybody tell me how to solve this problem?
is the session alive for the whole application,or it needs to carry on session value in each program,
thanks in advance

Sessions are maintained on the webserver. Their equivalent in an applet is simply the applet's current state.
Server session info is a "black box". You can't access it from the client, all you can do is make requests to the server and let the server supply whatever info it wants.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
