Collection doubt

Hello All,
Under collection framework HashMap,Map,ArrayList,Set,List....etc.,are not synchronized and like Vector,HashTable,Dictionary....are Synchronized.
How to synchronize these HashMap,Map,ArrayList... are synchronized one.
Some one told that using algoritham swe con do,but i am not sure about that.
Please can any one tell me how to do,if possible with an example.

we can synchronize using Collections class.
like Collections.synchronizedList(List list) we will get Synchronized List, simillary for others.

they are also present in java.util package.
