Hi, I'm a Java developer with approx. 3+ yrs IT experience, of which 1-1.5 years have been in Java. I have experience in Perl, Java, Servlets, Javascript, HTML, some XML, Shell, Openscript, and most recently Vignette StoryServer. I am at the moment uncertified, but preparing for the SCJP exam. I have worked for major companies such as AT&T in the past. Currently I am working in the New York metro area for a major brokerage firm, with about 1 yr experience here. I am looking to move onwards. Ideally I'd like to find a position somewhere in Central New Jersey, as a Java developer.
Could someone in addition to any possible openings, give me an idea of the salary (fulltime & consulting) rates I could or should expect. I'd like to compare this with my current situation before making any moves.
