Hey Arno,
Hi,
Because i like so much studying lol , i read about the scja...do you think its interresting for an IT-student to get both scjp(i just got it... ) and scja?
I have UML lessons at school...
which book should i buy? did you write one? i read about head first object? but he isn't yet published?
thx for your aswers
arno
I think the SCJA is primarily for people who aren't planning to be SCJPs.

It was intended for people who will be working with
Java programmers and on Java projects, but it's not really intended for people who want to be professional programmers.
If you do decide to go for the SCJA, there's no book that I know of that is meant specifically for that exam. I think that Dave Wood provided a UML overview somewhere on the SCJA forum. My thought is that if you're already an SCJP, and you study for a short time about the basic capabilities of
J2EE and J2ME, and you study Dave's UML guide, you'll do great on the SCJA.
Head First Objects is almost done - we're just doing some edits and polishing, but it isn't meant to be a guide for the SCJA. (It might be good for the
SCJD and the
SCEA but it's not really a certification book at all.)
hth,
Bert
