Hi Everbody,
I'm new child here.I have knowledge of core java.It is mentioned on Sun's website that prerequisites for SCJP1.4 is 6-12 months of experience. However I don't have such kind of experience.
Please suggest me whether to go for SCJP1.4 or SCJP1.2.
Which exam is comparatively easy? Which books I used to study ?
Thanks!
Somesh

Hello child. Such experience is only recommended and is not required. I suggest you buy the SCJP study guide written by Kathy and Bert

AFAIK the 1.2 exam is no longer available (though I could be wrong).

No professional certification exam is supposed to be easy, certainly not for people who don't have professional experience.
(Sadly) the SCJP exam is rather easy, reducing the value it has for people passing it.

Even though the 1.5 exam is harder than the 1.4 exam i would agree that the difficulty level could have been stepped up a bit.
