How to get data from applet into html form?

I have an applet that computes some data and I want to e-mail the information in the applet to someone. The javamail api doesn't seem to work for everyone's browser, so I would like to just use an html form to e-mail the data. If I have a form text field on an html page, how do I get my applet to populate that field?

YOu might look into JSObject from Netscape. It lets java call Script functions. The following link talks about it.
NOTE: Unless your first name is really just A, I would suggest that you re-register with a valid name here at the Ranch. The naming policy is quite clear on the issue: http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp
Oh the stink of it! Smell my tiny ad!
