SCJP 1.4 / SCJP 5

hi
i had used java for couple of yrs. since 1.2 to 1.4 (during my college days)
unfortunately didn't get an opp to work on java in the industry and currently im working on c++ for past 1yr after i passed out from the college but now that i want to switch to java i thought i'd give SCJP as it is considered as industry standard
but with the launch of java 5 i am not sure about if i should give scjp 1.4 or scjp 1.5 how much of difference will it make ?
i have seen couple of (i beilive there are lots) new features in 1.5
is it easy for one to just go through book on scjp 1.5 and give certification exam cnosidering i had used java earlier for like 1-2 yrs?
and which book is preferable for SCJP 1.5 ? khalid mughal ?

Certainly SCJP 1.5 is tougher than 1.4. It has a lots of new topic added like enum, generics plus some new packages etc. But those topics are really interesting to read.

I would you recommend you go for 1.5

Most important is you don't have to learn bit operations in SCJP 1.5 which is most difficult part of 1.4

I would recommend you gor for 1.5, that is 5.0. The book I will recommend is:
SCJP Exam for J2SE 5 by Paul Sanghera from Apress.
This is an excellent book.

is khalid mughal book available for SCJP 5?
i could not find one in local bookstores.
which edition is it ? i checked the second edition (2006) but it has 1.4 simulator so i guess it is for 1.4
