Is there a default pop-up window that the Java console will throw up if a process is taking a bit too long?
I've noticed a problem that is sporadic in occurence, and appears to only happen on a machine that we know to be slower than the rest. When a certain command is executed via the applet, a window pops up very briefly (couldn't even read it until I was able to capture it via a Print Scrn) and then disappears. The box is blank, and simply says "Please wait" in the title bar, and "Java Applet Window" at the bottom of the window. There are no buttons, just the X to close it.
There's nothing in the code that is causing a status box/window/whatever to appear, so I'm quite baffled as to where it is coming from. Never seen this behavior before.
Thanks!
