I need to write a java applet that creates a file on the client side allowing the client to name the file. also, the applet can reads a file from the client side. The name of the file is given by the client user. If the file does not exist, the applet should display an error like�File does not exist�

I know this is kinda silly stuff but I just got started with these so plz help

Which part are you stuck with: the file I/O, the GUI, or it being an applet? (Note that applets are not normally allowed access to the local file system; you will need to take some special measures for this. Read all about that here.)

Hi

Well, as I have read and all my readings agreed that i should first write the java applet bundle it into a JAR file generate a certification authority with private key and a Code Signing Certification to make the applet trustworthy
