I've got an applet in a jsp page that's working fine...
The problem is that when the page is displayed there's a message on the status bar "applet started" but the java console icon won't show up!
So, I need to use the java console...
By the way, I'm using windows XP.

Thanks!

The Java Plugin control panel has a setting for whether or not to show the console - check its various tabs, it's somewhere in there.

If you are using Sun's virtual machine, then you can follow the steps what Ulf has suggested and the name of the tab is 'Advanced' if you are using jdk1.5.

If its Microsoft's virtual machine, (assuming you are using Internet Explorer) you will have to check the option to "show java console" under tools->advanced tab.
