Guys,

The code below,

int a = Integer.MIN_VALUE;
int b = -a;
System.out.println(a+ " " + b); //prints both a and b as negative...how??

Jothi,

actually range of int is between -2147483648 and 2147483647. But here you are trying to assign 2147483648 to an int value which is out of it's range. So if you will try like long b = -(long)a then it will give you one -ve and other +ve value.
