I am taking the SCJP exam in 3 days. I have gone through K&B book. I got 39% in Mock Exam (CD) and 43% in downloaded MockExam when I took the exams first time. I read the book again last 2 weeks and I got 62% and 65% in mockexams this week. I have not checked answer guide yet. I took one Marcus Green's mock exam available for 1.5 and I got 65% also. I took various other mock exams for 1.4 and I am getting around 60 to 65%.
I was wondering If I am really prepared for the exam. I have been preparing since last 6 weeks.

Should I need more preparation or should I just take the exam.

You might want to check out my online exam on equals, = and == at www.scja.com

The mock exams are inteded to trip you up a bit, and show you how the exam can fool you. What's important is that you go back over the exams, and know where you messed up. You should only get a 65% the first time around. The second time around, you should be getting high 90's.

From what I've heard from people posting in the forums, people tend to do between 5 and 10 percent better on the real thing than on the mocks, so from what you're saying, you're in a yellow to green zone. Go over those exams again and try to be as green as possible.

Best of luck!

I passed with SCJP 5.0 with 65% today. I got only 25% in concurrency. I got 65% and 67% also in 2 K&B mock exams this week and I was expecting atleast 10 points more. These concurrency questions are at the begining and I spent one hour on first 15 questions. I guess I Did not manage the time well.
