This is my holy grail. My friend works as system support at the Juilliard School of Music (my alma mater) and he says a programmer who works there has three 10-15 hour consulting positions that he holds down. I was really hoping to find either two of those, or one bigger one. (As for what I do with the rest of my time, my alma mater should be a clue). But I'm finding these positions to be elusive quarry. I've gotten a lot of fulltime offers but nothing part time like I need. I figured there would be web design houses that just needed some Java now and then for a project, or something like that. I hope someone will let me know if I'm barking up the wrong tree. Right now I do some freelance web design, and pop in at this bank two nights a week where I do some graphics work. It works well, but I'd rather use my Java skills. Is there any chance I could get a similar gig programming? Or do I seriously have to re-evaluate my situation? Thanks for your input. Eric B.
