Hi,

import java.lang.Boolean;
class q7{
public static void main(String args[]){
 if( new Boolean("true") == new Boolean("true"))
//if(new Integer("42")==new Integer("42"))//line 1
 System.out.println("True");
 else
 System.out.println("False");
}
}
  

doubt

line1 for Boolean without importing lang.Boolean its a compiler error
where as for Integer its working fine i.e without importing lang.Integer
its working fine. Whats happening here. I know that by default lang package is imported but lang does it mean Integer class is also imported?.

Weird.. it should not happen. java.lang is imported by default. I tried it here and I don't see any problem.

At some point, did you create your own "Boolean.class" that could be causing a conflict?
