I'm reading through the SCJP study guide by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates--getting ready to start chapter 8. As I go through the chapters, I am definitely learning things I didn't know before and I understand everything that's being covered, but I'm only able to answer about 20% of the questions correctly in the self test at the end of each chapter. Some of them seem down-right tricky. Are these the types of questions that can be expected on the exam? Also, how are multiple-answer questions graded... are they either right or wrong, or do you get partial credit for getting some of it right?

After I finish reading through the book, I intend to try a full practice exam, at which point I'll probably make note cards on all the Classes/concepts that I'm weak on. Then repeat until I'm confident. Is this a good strategy? Can anybody recommend anything else? I really need to be able to pass this before the end of the year.

Thanks!!!
