Hi

According to me head first java(for beginners)
and K&B are enough to get prepared
for exam...............later after your
preparations
you can proceed with mock exams so as
to test yourself...............

I hope it helps.......

Hi Balaji,

Welcome to the ranch. I second Dhwani's advice. You'll do fine with just those books.

By the way, is there a reason why you're considering taking the SCJP 1.4 exam instead of SCJP 5? Now that Java's already into version 6 (or 1.6), you should be aware that the market value of the SCJP 1.4 certification is on the decline, especially given the many new language features that were introduced with Java 5.

if you know the basics of JAVA then K&B will be enough for you
