doubt in priority queue in java 1.5

Hai all

what is the difference between add method and offer method in priority queue.I tried with both methods..both are for adding elementst to the queue.
I did not get what exactly is the difference between those two???
please let me know

PriorityQueue extends AbstractQueue
AbstractQueue extends AbstractCollection
AbstractCollection implements Collection.
Collection interface has add().
Hence add() is present in PriorityQueue which simply invokes offer().
