I have got SCJP and SCJD. I spent my past 6 years working on C-programming application, mainly on supporting and providing onsite implementation support. I need to travel around the world. In last March, I finally get a chance within my company switching to a new team using IBM WSBCCS websphere component. The primary development tools is IBM VAJ. Working in the new team for 2 months, I consider myself as a novice in Java. What do you think the chance of me getting a java job in another company?

Rudy Yeung:
If you are currently woring with Java in a commercial project - invest at least 6 months. Then you can list some Java experience on a resume.
Converting from C to Java - not an major issue. You have SCJP/SCJD - this proves you know you stuff.
So after 6 months on your current Java stint - hit the market.
I would recommend hitting the market NOW before you leave the current job.
