I was recently downloading a copy of JDK 5.0 update 15 when I saw a notice that JSE 5.0 is in it's End Of Life transition and will no longer be supported after 10/8/2009. With that in mind is there a plan for a certification of either JSE 6.0 or the newer 7.0? How will this impact people currently working towards JSE 5.0 certification?

Just Curious,

JW

Well, versions don't go away that quickly. The company I work for (a huge financial services company) is planning to upgrade to Java 5 this year.

You can easily go for 1.6.
While i was learning for 1.5 cert, 1.6 cert exam came out. It was quite easy to learn those extra topics, which are simple and don't bring in new problems, and go for it. I recommend you to do the same, because 95% of the exam topics are the same. Good luck!
