Something John C. said sparked an idea. Since they seem to be so few and far between these days, I thought I would bring it up here. Does anyone have any stories about nightmare interviews, or terrible experiences with recruiters or headhunters? If so, I'd love to hear 'em! Scott
I have yet another Idea, funny bosses.. One of my boss was really angry when I told him to check out a Java code from VSS and referred to it as a class. So I told him to check out XXX class from the VSS and he was like, this is not a .class file, this is a .java file so why are you referring to it as a class file. No wonder we didnt work together for long..

Exactly where it would end up if Sun turned a profit this quarter. Sun is a multibillion dollar company. One quarter of losses in a down economy isn't going to impaact their 10 year Java effort. Besdies, Sun doesn't try to make any money off of Java (not sersiouly, anyway). (Although we really shouldn't be discussing this in Scott's thread on interviews. Start a new one if you want lots of discussion on it.) --Mark [This message has been edited by Mark Herschberg (edited August 30, 2001).]

I once went to SUN to get certified as a "SUN trainer" and there was this SUN guy sitting in front of me testing my communication skills and my technical knowledge. While talking about some point , i happened to say that one of the main causes for internet revolution was the development of Microsoft Internet Explorer and it's inclusion in Windows.(which is partly right and partly incorrect!!) The moment he heard the word Microsoft from me he shot up and strongly objected to that point without reasoning what i was trying to say. Needless to say i did not pass the test
