hails to all
i have been studying the high level stuff of java like the core language, ejb, jsp, servlets, etc. it seems that this SJCP is really required to land a decent java development job. is this true? can something be landed if you do not have this certification at all? or would i be wasting my time looking for a java job without this certification? also, would SJCP level 4 be sufficient or do i really need to do this new one of 6? also, on average, how long did it most of the passing students take to study for this exam? what if i did it full time? i already read the awesome headfirst java book. also, my past experience includes 5+ years in c and recent c# studying. let me know and big thanks to all.

i forgot to ask one last question. it seems that the dice.com forum seems to claim there are very few java programmer jobs since the competition is so cutthroat. can someone enlighten me on this situation and let me know if the SJCP really did help in getting a java programmer job within north america?
