In Dec/2005 I passed SCJP1.4, and now I'd like to upgrade to 1.6.
Should/Can I take an upgrade exam of SCJP1.6, or do I have to take
a regular exam (since I seem to read from somewhere, after two years
your certification expires)?

Many thanks~

BTW: It seems the SUN's website indicates no prerequisites is needed
for SCJP1.6 upgrade exam. That's confusing...

You can do the upgrade exam. The upgrade exam is meant for people who are already SCJP certified and who want to upgrade to a newer version. It doesn't matter what version your previous SCJP exam was.

It's an error on the Sun website that they say there are no prerequisites for the SCJP 6 upgrade exam (I've noticed that myself before).

....and,
I don't think your 1.4 certification expires... ever.

I'll take the upgrade exam then.

Thanks, Bob and Jesper!
