How to access Windows API from Applet??

Hi All
Is it possible to access windows specific APIs from an applet.
I have a requirement to download a applet in the browser and accedd some of the browser properties(something like VNC viewer )

I am not sure that this would work (for sandbox security reasons) but you could send a certificate with your applet and if users agree to trust it you may be able to use JNI to access windows APIs. I am not sure that even a trusted applet is allowed to use JNI.
Sounds to me like you may be trying for too much ... or going the wrong direction. More details about what you are trying to accomplish would help.
