Anyone know where I can find a good guide to writing MQ JMS point-to-point programs?

The "Java Message Service" book published by O'Reilly in Jan 2001 is a good general book but it only mentions MQ in passing. Which version of MQ are you using?

MQ 5.2 I'm not using the pub/sub interface, so I haven't installed the MA88 service pak on the MQ server. The PTP method works fine without having to install it so I haven't bothered...

Well, according to the JMS book I mentioned, MQ 5.1 was compliant with the p2p JSM messaging model so 5.2 should also be compliant. I just saw where the book got an award as the best Java book of the year at some Java magazine so it seems to be well regarded.

Actually between Richard Monson-Haefel's JMS book and the IBM guide "Using MQ Series and Java" you should be able to get started.
