Hi i am currently undertaking my final year project and its in java. i have to insert watermarks into images, i however need a few pointers if anyone can help?
i need to know how to find out how you determine how many bits each pixel uses? is this determined when you define the BufferedImage.TYPe_INT_RGB for example? that would have 24bits as 8bits for red green and blue?

Also could anyone explain how to find the least significant bit and how to change it? Using Rasters?

Any code or tutorials is greatly appreciated, my email is
shiggins@cis.strath.ac.uk

Thanks in advance
