Help required, regarding accessing the serial port thru my java app...

Hi guys,
i'm doing this project where accessig a mobile phone, connected to a SERIAL PORT, is required... Can somebody help me out with javax.comm,i mean by suggesting some good resource on the net...!!
Also i hear that javax.comm doesnot exist for Windows "now" and Rxtx is an opensource alternative. plz comment upon how much of this is true, as i sm suposed to make the application work on both windows and Linux...!!

I AM AWARE OF jSMSEngine AND OTHER SUCH APIs, BUT AM IN THE PROCESS OF CREATING ONE OF MY OWN...!! SO PLZ SUCCEST LINKS TO TUITORIALS ABOUT javax.comm RATHER THEN TO SUCH APIs...!!

Yes, javax.comm on Window is dead. You can find more information about that -and possible alternatives- if you search the I/O and Streams forum.
