I am scrolling through a list of viewbeans, whose selective data are being displayed in an href link respectively. The user selects an href link. I need to pass the viewbean corresponding to the href link clicked. There are way too many parameters to pass via the url.
Is there any way I can do that ? Right now I pass some unique key to the next page and have to requery the database for the viewbean.i want to avoid the extra call to the database when i already have the viewbean in the earlier page.
Any help is appreciated.

One way to post a bunch of info to the next URL is to use a form with hidden fields. Nothing will appear on the page and you can set the submission method of the form to POST so you don't have to worry about the URL length limitation.
Your hrefs can trigger a javascript function that loads up the hidden fields as approriate and then submits the form.
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
