Is Software development not a part of Information technology?
Actually, I specified the following in my resume-
-------------------
OBJECTIVE:
To pursue a challenging career in the dynamic field of Information Technology.
-------------------
One of the recruiters called me and told that my projects reflect software development, not IT and asked me to change the objective accordingly. But no other recruiter found any problem with that so far.
So, do you people think what I wrote in the objective is not appropriate? And do you think IT doesn't include Software development?
Ofcourse, I am a Software engineer.

Thanks for ur ideas.

Hi,
Software Engineer helps to develop software belong into the production process as part of an organization operation entities.
Information Technology is a large field covering software company as well.
I am sure you could easily identify the differences when you surfing around on-line job search engines, at the way they categorize field of disciplines.
Regards,
MCao

Most companies I have worked for use the term 'I.T.' when they are referring to network admins, repair, and tech support.

Software development is a subfield of the larger field known as IT.
The recruiter probably wants you to be more specific in your ambitions.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
