How to create the txt file in JSP ?

You need to set the content type to text.

If you want the browser to prompt the user to save the file:

Then you can have your JSP or servlet just write out the text.

You should be able to just write to the JspWriter "out", the same way as if you were writing HTML.

Haroic, It's very similar to how you write anything else from a JSP. For example, the following would let you download a one line text file with the current date and time:
