Is jhtml part of JSP?

I've seen number of sites have file extension .jhtml. What does it mean? Is it related to JSP?

I found couple of articles on how to use it and it seems jhtml is very similar to JSP. I mean as JSP it's compiled into servlet. So why was jhtml created?

and was never endorsed by Sun, being limited to a few servers from one or two manufacturers.
Of course nothing stops people from calling JSP files jhtml and setting their application servers to call the JSP processor on encountering files with that extension.

Hi,
Can anybody of u provide some useful materials on jhtml. I am not able to find from the google search. It provides me with the weblogic and web server tutorial abt the jhtml and page compilation tech. I hope both represent the same technology initially named as page compliation(am i right?)
are there any advacned topics like tag library in jhtml. is droplet part of jhtml or dsp. is dsp the same as jhtml or different? I am not able to figure out from the materials which I got. pl somebody provide me a resource to find these out r an xplanation for these queries.
