What exactly do you mean by embed? If you want to run a .exe from JSP, use java.lang.Runtime.exec() method.

I do not grasp your requirement. Why do you want to display mspaint.exe in a textarea? This cannot be done and why will someone have to do this?

You can develop a custom-defined applet or get a free-download paint applet and display on the browser if that suits your purpose.

You can do it by embedding the control of mspaint but for that u need to program in asp. for java you have to suffice with an applet.
