Dear Brothers and Sisters,

iam from India and iam having 1 year exp.In this 1 year i have done some small enhancements and bug fixing in Java but mainly i have worked with ORACLE PLSQL,writing procedures, packages,Tuning queries all those stuff.I also know ProC.Now if i have to shift to a new organization, i see the ads asking for

Software engineers(JAVA developers)
Software engineers(PLSQL developers)

Iam totally confused about which side i have to go.Whether into Java or into PLSQL.I want to know the better option. If PLSQL hws the career growth in that field???Kindly help me out.

"sathya KN",

Welcome to JavaRanch.

Please look carefully at official naming policy at Javaranch & reregister yourself with proper first & last name, with a space between them. Initials may be used for a first name, but not a last name. Please adhere to official naming policy & help maintain the decorum of the forum. The naming policy can be found at http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp

Ideally it would be nice to be strong in both areas, and as far as selection of job goes, I would recommend one which is more Java oriented.
