Hi Everyone,

It seems to me that job onsite opportunities seem to exist only for hands-on coders. Do you think job opportunities exist in US/UK/Australia for people currently working as Project Leader or Project Manager positions in India?

Its bit difficult to find long term opportunities to lead and manage a project onsite. PL/PM may have to accept a role of client interaction/onsite co-ordinator for the offshore team and not leading team as per se. But otherwise short term opportunities are available like for requirements, deployment etc.

What about the growth of migrant indian programmers already working in US/UK/Australia? Do they usually rise to the level of PL/PM or they just continue to code? If not, may be, becoming a software architect is an option?

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
