Bug in Oracle Driver? - getTableName

Using oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver to connect from my Java app.
The ResultSetMetaData method getTableName() is returning an empty String, although columns names, values come across fine.
Anyone see this before?

This is a known problem with OracleDriver. As far as I know, an enhancement request has already been filed on this.

getTableName() is still not working at my end though i have got the latest jdbc oracle driver ojdbc14.jar can anyone help me with a working driver ?

I am particularly interested to know how a request was made for enhancement in the driver? even I want to submit a bug / enhancement in the Driver implementation and cant figure out how.

Note that the original question was from four years ago. The original posters probably aren't watching this thread anymore. Also, it is ok to start a new thread for a new question.

classes12.zip is now standard and can be downloaded from the Oracle site.
