hi all,

i have a jsp application with sql server 2000. i need to use connection pooling to optimize the working, but i don't know what is to be done. i have a java file being called for establishing and releasing the connections.

can someone help me on how to do the process of connection pooling so that i can follow the same?

any help is appreciated.

cheers,
Anandh

Connection pooling can be provided by application server. Look into the documentation of your server.

you can host an ejb for connection pooling for connection pooling as ejbs don't die out(timeout) very fast

also writing connection strings in jsps slow down the server and also the databse server as the new connection gets created every time the page is served

thanks
