Is it possible to implement XA transactions without app.servers?

Is there any commands in XA drivers like JDBC's autocommit on/off.

My idea is to use JDBC we dont need any App.servers, what about XA Transactions?

Yamini,
You are correct in thinking that XA Transactions are independent of app servers. You just need to use the XA version of your JDBC driver.
