Hi,

Sure this has been covered somewhere but dont seem to be able to find a concise answer. Our app is using straight JDBC connections to a database and some concern has been expressed that when we issue

DriverManager.getConnection(dataBaseURL, userName, password)

that the username/password is being passed across the wire in an unsecure fashion. The backend is Sybase and we are using JConnect. Anyone have any feedback on implementing a secure JDBC connection between app and db ?

Thx in advance

You might use a connection pool to avoid that situation.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
